Greetings Family and Friends,

Arrived today after smooth flights all the way. Got to the Guest House about 2pm, unloaded, met Michael Brewer at the money-changing place, and took right off for the Promised Land.

We were riding in Serge's tap-tap because the white truck was still being worked on by Paul at AFCA Village. The transmission was being fixed (again) and body work had been done. Robbie, it's the right front passenger door that had been hit and also the wheel wells had rusted out. Repairs have been and are being made. We didn't discuss cost.

Rode to the Promised Land and walked the main portion. Learned where most of the property lines are from the watchman who lives right in the area and knows. Saw the well, which is there but unused since 1987. One top priority for tomorrow is taking a portable generator out there, hooking up, and determining if water pump works.

We also talked in detail with Michael about various possibilities. We covered generalities today and got an overview. We will get serious into details tomorrow.

Came back and saw my 3 leadership training guys - Kalipso, Ashka, and Ashka (2), - here at Walls. They are in school and say they are doing well. They had supper with us, as did Franceli, Paul, and Michael.

After supper, by appointment, Pastor Martinez came over with attorney Celestine. We had detailed meetings about our recent (and ongoing) legal affairs with the accident, Rosemon's situation, survey of the land, lease agreement for the land, etc. LOTS of stuff to cover.

Enough for now. It's 8:30pm and feels like 2am. It's 9:30pm "our time in the US", and we've been up since 3am. Roger already pumpkin-ized and is horizontal. I am getting flaky.

For the team coming Friday, quick notes:
- Be prepared to hustle in Miami. You arrive Concourse E and have to get to B. Long walk; have to hustle.
- Weather beautiful. Guess 85 today; sunny; thunderstorm at dusk. Over now.
- Prepare to ride in dumptruck. If you want to sit, might bring a stadium cushion. We were in tap-tap today. I call it the slap-slap (on my hiney).
- Food great as usual.
- If anybody can, Rick here at the Guest House requests 2 halogen light bulbs from Home Depot. These screw into a regular socket instead of a light bulb. He thinks they are 70watts but basically they are just light bulb substitutes.
- Barbie - please bring 1 more walkie-talkie yellow like we bought the other day at Radio Shack. Briefly, Rick needs 3. I'll sell him my 2, plus you please bring 1 more UNOPENED IN THE ORIG PACKAGE. Rick must get Gertrude's approval. If she vetoes, we can return. Also please bring extra batteries of the size these use. Enough for 2 replacements; that would be 18, I believe.

Looking forward to seeing the team coming down on Friday. All is well as Wednesday comes to an end.

Please keep us in your prayers. We are dealig with BIG challenges here,
Wes
