Haiti Mission Trip

Family and Friends,

Got here this afternoon after smooth flights all the way. The Miami-to-Haiti flight was over 1 hour delayed.

Special to Team

• The Charlotte flight came in only 2 gates away from the Haiti departure gate! (At other times, it can be almost a 1/2 mile walk)
• I spoke to Johnson and he/I will be ready for your arrival on Sunday
• The customs card, among other things, asks if you are bringing "meat", "Medicines", and other things. Be sure to answer it correctly ("YES", if you are

Franceli, Kalipso, Achka, and Antoine all met me at the airport. They are excited that you all are coming. Tomorrow, we go to Double Harvest to pick up the big truck. Also saw TiJon today; he is excited too.

I am on the mosquito porch. Rick is going to help me rig up the hooks for mosquito nets.

I was in meetings all afternoon at the Guest House, so haven't ventured out yet. There is a large group here from all over; lots are coming and going.

Barb, I have confirmed with Franz that he will help us as a translator. He is so pleased. Tomorrow, I expect to confirm Patrick.

Barry and Beth, Sandro was so pleased with his Bible and the nice color photo I gave him. He had received your email, but for some reason his cyber cafe couldn't "SEND" when he tried. He was distressed that he couldn't reply. Sandro was pleased that we need his help on a mural later this week.

Tonight's supper was good: rice and beans, meat balls, salad, cake. Rick got me my own bottle of ketchup! I was a happy camper.

All is well; will try to write back tomorrow.
