College Parkers at Caswell

August, 2002

Each year Senior Adults from College Park (Members of "College Parkers") attend "Senior Adult Conference By the Sea" at North Carolina Baptist Assembly at Caswell.

This year there were 16 who attended.

There were 4 days and four nights learning, worshiping, having fellowship with other Senior Adults from other Baptist churches throughout the state.

This year there was arts classes in Scrapbook Making (Family Memories), making Christmas Decorations, Building Dulcimers, Learning to play the Dulcimer, Music, fishing, and this year a very talented actor and Mime, Doug Berky taught a class on making masks.

Some of the highlights of the week were:

Tuesday Night Vespers on the top of the fort.
Each night we were entertained by the Doug Berky in the Chapel
Thursday night the Music group gave a short concert, with Choir Chimes, Choir singing "Jesus Loves Me for Seniors" and 2 solos. (One was Sandy Mills Singing "My Tribute" and the other was a very talented lady from another church singing "Climb Every Mountain" from "The Sound Of Music".)
