In addition to fully building a home for the Lay Family, College Park will assist on a second home, this one for Darlene Sharp and her children. Clemmons First Baptist will frame the home and do the preliminary work on wiring and plumbing. When we arrive, our teams will begin to insulate, sheetrock, paint, and install the fixtures, as progress on the Lay Family house permits. It will be interesting to watch our teams work together. Darlene is a single mother of 3 children. Her daughter, Crystal is 16. Matthew is 13 and Brandy is 2. Darlene has a job with Lion Apparel. The Sharp family now lives in a 2-bedroom trailer that has become unsafe. The wiring is poor and the floor is very weak. The land is very swampy and will not accept a septic system. They are looking forward to their new home. Mountain Outreach and College Park will help provide a safe, warm home for this hard working woman and her children. |
