Edu-packs for the Hurricane Victims Edu-packs for the Hurricane Victims College Park is helping hurricane victims through a program called Edu-Pack. New Directions International, a non-denominational ministry based in Burlington, NC, is distributing education materials to the school system in Biloxi, Mississippi. Three of their 5 elementary schools were totally destroyed and the remaining 2 are severely damaged. The superintendant was making an effort to start some schools on Monday, Oct. 4, but decided last week that it was not possible. New Directions has a goal to send 10,000 packs. In only 3 days, College Park was able to collect 76 packs! We will continue to make the collection for another week or two. To participate, simply pick up an empty bag from the table outside Smith Hall. Purchase the items printed on the bag and return it to College Park. A $10.00 check helps cover the cost of shipping and the backpack. Friends, neighbors, and school classes can all help with this project!
