Inclement Weather Policy
How does the cancellation process work?
- Sunday morning services will be canceled in extreme situations. The Pastor will consult with the Chairman of the Deacons and/or Chairman of the Properties Committee, if possible, in making a decision. Even when services are held in inclement weather, each person should use his/her own discretion in trying to get to church.
- Wednesday evening services and activities may be canceled if school is closed or dismissed early, or afternoon school activities are canceled.
- Activities and events on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday may be canceled if school is closed, school is out early, or afternoon school activities are canceled.
How do people know when there is a cancellation?
When there is a cancellation of services/events due to inclement weather, the change will be announced in multiple ways in an adequate amount of time before the service/event is originally scheduled.
Announcement mediums include:
- A message on our phone line greeting
- Our church website, CollegePark.ws
- Our social media accounts, Facebook and Twitter (@CollegeParkWS)
- Local television stations, WFMY 2, WXII 12, and ABC 45 (look for College Park Baptist Church Winston Salem, since there is also a College Park Baptist Church in Greensboro).
