Upcoming Events, Nov. 18, 2018 edition

  • We will once again decorate the Sanctuary with red poinsettias for Christmas. If you would like to give a plant in honor of, or in memory of someone, please complete an order form and return it to the church office along with your payment, no later than Friday, November 30. (Please do not place your order in the offering plate.) The price is $10.25 per plant.
  • Thanksgiving Eve Service will be Wednesday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. There will be no other activities that evening.
  • Family Game Night is Sunday, November 25 at 6:00. Join us for a fun game of soccer.
  • Sign up at the Welcome Desk if you would like to go with the Grub Club to Mi Pueblo on November 26. We will leave the church at 5:45 p.m.
  • Book Club meets on Monday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Mission Trip: November 28 – December 1
    Who will come to the aid of our neighbors to the east? Baptists on Mission need teams to help with recovery from Hurricane Florence. College Park is sending a group of willing hands and yours might be 2 of them. The cost is zero (unless you buy a snack on the way). Any skill level is welcome.   • We are collecting for the North Carolina Baptist Children’s Homes Offering. Our goal is $3,500.
  • Sunday morning, December 2, the GAs will be working to earn an International Missions Offering by having “Latte” Moon and “Lot-TEA” Moon stations set up in the Garden Lobby to offer coffee and tea to everyone (for a donation). They will begin at 8:45 and serve until 11:00. Please stop by and support their efforts!
  • Wednesday evening, December 5, the RAs will be working to earn an International Missions Offering by providing dessert for the Wednesday night meal – “Moon” Pies, also for a donation. Please support our children’s efforts to help spread the gospel to unreached people with this offering!
  • Wednesday evening, December 5, after prayer time – International Missions Study, Refugees, led by Steve Loftis.
  • Sunday morning, December 9 – Walkdown for International Missions
