    • On March 22 and 23, NC Baptists on Mission will offer training for anyone interested in Disaster Relief. It will be in Thomasville on Friday evening and the following Saturday. All ages and abilities are welcome to train. Services are needed in Mass Feeding, Mud Out, Child Care, Administration, Chain Saw, and many other categories. If you are interested, please go to baptistsonmission.org, then click Training. Click Disaster Relief, then choose the category that most interests you. We are in Region 5. You can register on that page.
    • On April 17 to 20, we are recruiting a team to assist with the rebuild. Exactly where we go will be determined by the size of the group and needs at the time. Barbie Kale is organizing the team and will provide more information as the time draws near.

Winter Jam is February 23!

WinterJam is a huge concert festival held every year in the Greensboro Coliseum.  We are pumped that we will be going this year AND we have reserved seats.  Some of the top artists will be there – Newsboys United, Danny Gokey, Mandissa, Rend Collective, Hollyn, Ledger, Newsong, and more.  It will be over 4 hours of music you will not want to miss.

Tickets are available now!  Tickets are $35 and we will purchase 25.  Once all 25 tickets are gone, we can not add any more.  So get your money in now.  Turn in a check made out to the church or pay online.  Youth, parents, friends are all invited.

We need 4 adults, including a couple of drivers.  If you are available, please let Jeff know.

Please be prompt, no one will be admitted after 2:30. Please bring a good photocopy of your current driver’s license (a) if this is your first time training, or (b) if you’ve renewed your license in the past year. The jail must have a copy of your current license on file. Please join us as we worship with the least of these.
  • Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) are more valuable than ever. With the doubling of the standard deduction and the suspension and limitation of many other deductions, far fewer taxpayers are likely to itemize. This means that far fewer will be able take advantage of the deduction for charitable giving. With a QCD, you can use the standard deduction and get a tax break for your charitable contributions. Is a QCD right for you? You must be age 70 ½ and the funds from your IRA must go directly to a qualified charity. You are also limited to $100,000 annually. A bonus benefit is that your QCD can satisfy your required minimum distribution from the IRA. See Grace Hodge for details or your financial advisor.
