A beautiful day to work!
Morning found blue skies and cool temperatures, making for excellent working conditions.
The house is now shingled. The drywall is installed and mudded. The wiring passed the rough inspection just after lunch. The front deck is nearly complete.
One of the great joys of this trip is seeing the bonds develop between College Park, Hazelwood Baptist Church of Waynesville, and First Baptist Church of Dunn. As has been true since the first year of this project, the youth have been the mainstay. The participation of the youth from Dunn and Waynesville have done wonders to enhance the spirit and speed the progress of the week.
This evening we all gathered at First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, where our food crew fixed a delicious hot dog supper. A highlight of the evening was a time of recognition (and roasting) of Roger Jones, for his leadership over the twenty years of our participation in Mountain Outreach.
