Today's weather was beautiful, moderate temperatures, lots of sunshine, and scattered clouds.
The house is painted inside and out. Linoleum is laid throughout the house. Permanent power was connected early afternoon, and most circuits are already active.
The food crew delivered yet another delicious lunch today.
Roger was not able to come into the house until a deck and steps were built. The first deck and its steps were completed by 10:45. Rather than waiting for a rail, Ramon, Jeremy, Russell, and Ward formed a "human rail." (Check the 10:52 photo.)
The youth and most of the rest of the group left early today, around 3:15, turning over the interior to the group laying linoleum. The youth enjoyed the motel pool for the remainder of the day.
The biggest buzz of conversation among the adults are two topics: first, how hard the youth are working; second, how much expertise so many of them have. When they finish one job, the hurriedly search for something else to do. Parents should be proud of the extraordinary accomplishments we are seeing from these young people.
It was our youth group that got this project started, and clearly the project continues to completely depend on their amazing efforts.
