WNCT coverage

Daily Updates

• Sunday: Commissioning, arrival at site.
• Monday: Contruction begins. First exterior wall raised just after noon. All exterior walls are now in place, and two interior stud walls have been constructed.
  First wall at 12:17.
  
• Tuesday: Trusses in place, roof on. Very sturdy construction. Generous donations from Fresh Market and Bojangles -- thanks!

• Wednesday: The home is now weather-tight, with all doors and windows in, and shingles on. Althought storms were in the area most of the day, we only had a tiny sprinkle during the workday. Major storms came through around 6:00 p.m., accompanied by local flooding. But the job site was unharmed; even the tents were not disturbed.
• Thursday. Last night's storm drenched the worksite, but left no damage. The sandy soil drained quickly. Vinyl siding is complete and the HVAC unit is installed.
• Friday. Mission trip complete. We dedicated the home this afternoon and presented the keys to Ms. House. We cherish the chance to get to know her and her community.
