The house is done!
We completed the home today, moved the furniture in, and held the dedication service at 5:30 p.m.
Upon first arrival, we found that last night's evening crew had not only installed all the flooring, but had also installed all interior and exterior doors.
Today, kitchen counters were installed, as well as all plumbing fixtures.
The house passed final electrical inspection this afternoon.
The youth began moving in furniture and appliances before 2:00 p.m.
Overcast skies kept the temperatures quite comfortable all day.
At 5:30 p.m., we held the dedication ceremony, turning over the keys to Joe, Amy, and Jasmine. Thanks to the Kidds for the beautiful card and the delicious cake to celebrate the occasion.
We are grateful for the thoughts and prayers of all of our friends who have been following our work this week. Thanks to Charles Edwards for the wonderful photography that made these web reports possible.
As usual the youth were central to the construction of the home. The youth initiated our engagement with the Mountain Outreach project more than two decades ago, and they continue to set the tone and pace of the project.
